Due to the coronavirus it was necessary to cancel a long-planned month in France for which I had rented from Autoeurope. The entire trip was canceled 3 weeks before departure and there was a quick refund from the airline but auto europe persisted in failing to refund the entire prepaid rental amount. Their refund was $100 on a fully paid $600 rental. After many emails and phone calls between their representative, myself and my agent they blamed everyone from the credit card company to their own accounting person but still have refused to refund the entire amount. Since this is the second problem I have experienced with this company and am now out some $500, I will no longer use them and warn others to beware of their multiple explanations for failure to refund cancellations.
I received very helpful and professional service from Olive regarding my car rental needs for future travel plans in Europe.
I appreciated the time and helpful information that she provided me and would like her employers to know that.

Bad customer service & website. Reserved a one month lease on website & paid in full. Site says they will confirm in one hour, never received confirmation, called daily for 3 days & was told it takes several days to confirm the vehicle is actually available. After 3 days of calling finally told no cars are available for 3 months(!), and that they "have been having trouble with our emails". Why are they on the website for lease if none are available in the first place? DO NOT RECOMMEND
Updated review: I just received a call from AutoEurope to tell me the car I reserved is not available. 11 days after I made the reservation! And one week after I called them to ask and was told they had already called to notify me ( they had not). Now they finally call. Do not recommend!
Horrible customer service and basic theft. Due to a policy of the local rental agency that did not allow me to pick up the vehicle because my Spanish Government drivers was not to their liking, Auto Europe refused to return my money. Basically, I paid a vehicle for a month and don’t have the vehicle and they won’t even give me a partial return. Stay away from this company.
I had car rental for munich germany for 144.93 euro . We arrived early the guy at the counter said we had to wait or take another car. We were a hour and half early so he gave us a more expensive car . We get out to get the car both front tires are low he finaly comes to fix it then were on our way. We get on the interstate and the brakes were rubbing we return the car and said we wanted our original aggrement By this time its way past our hour and half aggrement. Go to the counter and the guy said that we couldnt get it .we had to stick with this one . Which was wrong i was a mad coustmer. Why ?
Always great service! I have used Auto Europe numerous times and they never disappoint! The car is always ready and we have never had any issues.
Really easy to book the car I needed at a great price.

Thanks to Emmett (Manager in Auto Europe US), I got my money back from a Mexican rental company how tried to make me pay for insurance that I didn’t wanted to. He followed up my case and helped to get through it.
I always book my car rentals with AutoEurope and this time again I’m don’t regret it!
We rented a car at the airport 2 years ago. We got a dented mini car that had been rear ended and had to go back in to have it documented before leaving. We were told it was undamaged...
The car was fine for the trip but 2 years later we have attorneys contacting us telling us we have tickets in towns we never visited and dates we were not there!
I asked where they got the info and they said the CAR RENTAL COMPANY! I am glad I kept the itinerary of our travels while there and have since cancelled a return trip for the family. Avoid this company at all costs, no one needs to be scammed:(

I recently had to travel to France and rented a car by making a reservation through Auto Europe. I am satisfied with their services and I would recommend them. I recommend that you take out insurance online from the Auto Europe website and this will be much cheaper than if you take out the insurance at the time of taking the car.
I have never seen anything like this. I still waiting for my refund after a cancellation, but they told me it will take 30 working days before I get my refund.
